Our Intake Coordinators are instrumental to the success of the program. They meet with each person who seeks service and creates an atmosphere of acceptance, dignity and respect while being a fount of information for families. CCC Coordinators received training in the Youth Mental Health First Aid. This training is a 6 or 8 -hour certificate course that teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses. The training gives participants the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
