* Participated in the Healthy Blood Pressure through Faith and a Healthy Lifestyle Project

* Provides health information to the congregation (PowerPoints, inserts in bulletins, handouts, etc.)
Milestones
+ Hosted a mini health fair which included health insurance enrollment information, blood pressure checks, URMC Smile mobile and vendors sampling healthy eating and snack options.
+ Meet every Wednesday and second Saturday of the month for walking and exercising-and it’s open for all to attend.
+ Second year of participating with the Blood Pressure project which has yielded significant improvement in the participants overall health.
+ Planning to participate in the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP).
+ Due to directly to the health ministry’s efforts, our summer community gatherings and events have embraced “water only” as the beverage of choice. The water intake of our congregants has increased significantly with this simple subtle change.
+ Pastor Johnson whole heartedly supports the church’s health ministry endeavors in his teachings and reminders that Health is a Spiritual Matter!
