Patricia Cathey

As a community wellness project coordinator, Patricia Cathey primarily supports the agency’s High Blood Pressure Collaborative. She implements the project in faith-based settings, serves as a liaison with community partners to execute program components in barbershops and beauty salons, and builds and strengthens community partnerships to improve blood pressure control in the community. Prior to joining Common Ground Health’s staff in 2017, she served as a consultant to the collaborative.

Patricia Cathey is a human service professional with an extensive background in providing leadership, interpersonal skills facilitating meetings, youth advocacy, mentorship, and community outreach. Many of her previous experiences includes working in Non-Profit organizations such as Hillside Family of Agencies and the Villa of Hope, where she managed group homes, implemented programs, networked with community outreach services, provided career development opportunities and trainings, and managed a caseload of residents that included collaboration with Monroe County caseworkers. Patricia is also involved in ministry promoting spiritual motivation and encouragement through praise and worship as a Gospel vocalist at Joint Heirs Kingdom Ministries, AKOMA Women’s Gospel Choir which raises scholarships for young ladies graduating from high school towards their first year of college, and through drama, spoken word, and theater.
