Sexual, emotional and physical abuse, suicide, violence, loss . . .
THESE ARE ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG OF THE TRAUMATIC EVENTS THAT NEGATIVELY AFFECT INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES.
Our fifth annual Health is a Spiritual Matter Conference presents ”The Impact of Trauma on the Family — Lighting the Way to Healing, Health and Resilience” on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Trauma is not only an individual and family issue but also a public health one. IHMC and co-presenter Rochester Youth For Christ will provide information and resources to address the emotional, spiritual and physical health of the entire family impacted by trauma. Conference experts will discuss the struggles and solutions for families dealing with the difficult and unexpected issues that arise from trauma such as depression, substance abuse and self-harm. Save the date for this free conference and come out to meet your peers who are also part of our community safety-net.
